Leprosy Treatment and Rehabilitation Programme
Over the years, SMK is primarily committed and engaged in the programmes and activities related with treatment and rehabilitation of leprosy patients and their families in Rajasthan. Organization is successfully and continuously executing this prgramme from its establishment. At present these programmes are effectively being run at following centers:-
- Galta, Galta Road, Jaipur
- Ramgarh Reintegration Centre, Jaipur
- Sarthak Manav Shiksha Sadan, Jaipur
- Gandhi Kushtashram, Jodhpur
- Sarthak Manav Kushthashram, Ajmer
All these centers have the leprosy patients and their families as its inmates. They live here happily with their children and family members. Here they have been ensured of proper accommodation, General Health Care & Treatment including Leprosy, Nutritional support and other necessary services. Special attention and efforts have been made by SMK to successfully rehabilitate these leprosy affected people so as to develop a sense of dignity and self-reliance among them. For this they are being provided skill building and trainings in different trades of their choice i.e. Weaving, Printing, Motor Driving, Flour & Spices Grinding, Computer, Tailoring and Incense sticks making etc.
