LEPROSY CARE AND DOTs CENTERS PROGRAMME
SMK is jointly working with private practitioners to provide leprosy care and DOTS services at 15 different places in Jaipur. These areas are primarily situated near the slum and highway areas. These centres are working as Leprosy Care and DOTS Centers. Practitioners here are private doctors assisted by paramedical workers. On every cured case of Tuberculosis, government gives rupees 250 as incentives to doctor and paramedical worker 50 percent each. These centers have been successful in effectively controlling and preventing the spread of leprosy and Tuberculosis in the project areas.
